LINE BREAKING (Perform safe opening of piping process & equipment’s)
Line Breaking e-learning module, where we focus on ensuring safe practices in opening piping processes and equipment, commonly known as line breaking. Throughout this training, participants will gain comprehensive knowledge on how to perform line breaking procedures safely to protect against hazards such as chemicals, pressure, heat, and the potential for a flammable or toxic atmosphere. It is essential to ensure that the system being opened is free from hazardous substances and energy and that proper controls are in place to guarantee safety. Failure to apply line break procedures correctly can result in serious injury or even fatalities. Participants will learn about the hazards and risks associated with opening pipelines or process equipment, as well as the different types of openings with practical examples. We provide detailed procedures and risk reduction measures for opening activities, emphasizing the importance of wearing correct personal protective equipment (PPE). Additionally, participants will understand the essential contents of a work permit for a line break and the roles and responsibilities of various stakeholders involved in the process.
