A Tata Group company always ensures the highest quality and safety orientation as a part of their work ethics. This prestigious project was no different. Hence, getting registered as a service vendor within the organization meant passing through stringent quality and safety scrutiny processes.
In the pre-commissioning phase of their 4000 MW project at Mundra, Tata Power wanted to adopt an electronic system to enhance their productivity manifold. With this intention, they contacted TECH EHS and explained their requirement.
In partnership with Tata Power’s project management team, TECH EHS produced a targeted ‘Scope of work’ that addressed each of their challenges and, as a result, was awarded the project to implement the software solution.
Their existing system was dated and used a paper-based system that included many intricate subprocedures within a single frame. The permit life cycle was predefined and included several equipment isolations as part of the system. They wanted the new system to be integrated with their existing SAP (PM) system. The notifications would be generated by the prevalent system, and they were then required to be addressed in the e-PTW system for further processing
The software had to be simple enough for users. Most personnel designated to use the
software did not have enough time as they were part of the operations team. Hence, the software system had to be user-friendly.
