An effective accident investigation enables to learn lessons, so that similar events can be prevented in the future. When an accident happens at the workplace, it is important to conduct an accident investigation to determine the root cause of the events that led to the accident or injury. The intention of the investigation is not to assign blame, but rather to know the factors that led to accident so that corrective action can be applied to prevent it from happening again.
