However, when the object is unusually large, heavy, fragile, priceless etc., rigging is needed.
Rigging is a technique of securing load to enable it to be moved from one position to another. However, improper rigging of a load or a rigging failure can expose riggers and other workers nearby to a variety of potential hazards.
That is why, safe rigging is considered one of the most important aspect of crane operation.
There are various hardware that are involved in the rigging process, such as Rigging Hooks, Shackles, Eye Bolts, Steel Nuts, Synthetic Slings, Wire Ropes, Pulleys, Blocks.
