TruckOman HSE Induction for Employees

TruckOman, located in the Sultanate of Oman, happens to be the country’s most trusted service provider in specialized comprehensive logistics and management solutions for the Oil and Gas sector. Their sophisticated convoys are designed specifically for moving massive high-grade rigs across the country’s interior whilst maintaining compliance with all levels of road and operational safety standards.

With the requirement of high retention rates and easy articulation of the technical aspects around their services, life-saving rules, government guidelines, on-site safety, emergency drill, and general awareness, TruckOman reached out to TECH EHS for a Safety Induction solution. A solution that can well-summarize their activities while maintaining the decorum of the guidelines that need to stay intact when the tasks are undertaken. Synthesizing the mass of information like that of TruckOman was more of a challenge for them than us.

Through a synergy between the teams at both TECH EHS and TruckOman, a 30-minute induction movie was drawn in the spirit of collaboration. All content ever submitted was reviewed on multiple stages to meet all of the HSE requirements making sure it included every key detail that had to be recapitulated by anyone who sets foot on the workfield.

TECH EHS, with the proficiency that it has in safety, formulated and devised a procedure that matches standards of the current trends. Proffering an engaging storyline and subsequently making the information straightforward, the aim was to make the induction the most reliable source of details inducing the retention factor by a mile.

3D models of the head office, several sites and environments were created to help visualize the scenarios better while giving the watcher a familiar surrounding to relate to. In accordance with TruckOman’s safety guidelines and government regulations the models were made to reflect the following: road conditions, appropriate mode of transport to carry the goods, task appropriate PPEs, rigs and ODCs that fell in line with the requirements. A rigorous task that requires precision in engineering was brought to life.

Acknowledging the need of the hour, i.e. a multi-national workforce, narration in 3 different languages were yielded without compromising effectiveness. After careful iterations and verifying that the visuals align with the safety and operational needs, the HSE team at TruckOman were cooperative in helping the video not lose its impact.
