Our client, Al Gharbia, is one of the most technologically advanced Longitudinally Submerged Arc Welded (LSAW) Pipe manufacturers in the world and one of the first large-scale manufacturers to embrace Industry 4.0.

Our client recognized the opportunity to enhance their visitor management process by transitioning from traditional manual logbooks to a more digital and secure solution. This shift aimed to improve record accuracy and elevate safety & security measures. By addressing language barriers and streamlining induction methods, they wanted to ensure that visitors fully understand and adhere to safety protocols.

TECH EHS developed and implemented an E-Gate Pass System with a Safety Induction module tailored for visitor control, safety compliance, and data visibility.

The TECH EHS team designed and delivered an exclusive Visitor Management System integrated with an E-Gate Pass and a mandatory digital safety induction. This system allows authorized personnel to 

  • Generate pre-approved appointments
  • Define PPE requirements
  • Share essential safety instructions

Visitors are required to upload ID proofs, watch a video-based induction in an unskippable format, and pass an assessment before entry.  Post induction, as soon as a visitor’s request is approved by their host, an instant notification is sent to the authorized person, the visitor, the security team, the HR department, and the host, keeping everyone informed.

The entire onboarding process was digitized, which not only expedited approvals but also eliminated the risks associated with traditional paper-based systems. A centralized dashboard provides our clients with real-time access to visitor data and can be downloaded in Excel and PDF formats for audits or internal reviews.  Additionally, digitization enabled a robust tracking mechanism, maintaining a detailed log of all visitors and their interactions.
